Vishakhapatnam, October 09, 2017 – Thomson Reuters and the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP), today, launched two strategic initiatives to foster ‘digital’ development in the state.
Thomson Reuters, GoAP and GITAM University collaborated to launch a FinTech lab called Innovation AppStudio for the State of Andhra Pradesh, which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri N Chandrababu Naidu and Shri Lokesh Nara – Hon'ble IT Minister of the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP). Innovation AppStudio will be hosted at the GITAM University campus in Vishkhapatnam and will be open to students, academia, researchers, start-ups, and the ecosystem across Andhra Pradesh.
In addition to this, Thomson Reuters and GoAP also joined hands to launch ‘Digital Content Exchange’ initiative as a part of the Government’s e-pragati program. ‘Digital Content Exchange’ will offer trusted content powered by Thomson Reuters e-book software, ProView and legal research solution, WestLaw and will be used by education institutions and Government departments. While ProView will facilitate quick access to a host of e-books from Thomson Reuters as well as third-parties, WestLaw will give stakeholders access to global and local content including expert materials.

In alignment with our vision, we are proud to launch Innovation AppStudio and Digital Content Exchange in collaboration with Thomson Reuters and GITAM University. Innovation AppStudio will provide a robust platform for collaboration between students, start-ups, education, financial institutions, academia and the Government. Digital Content Exchange will offer access to trusted local, user-specific and global data and research capabilities.”
